Turkey Sloppy Joes

Turkey Sloppy Joes

These delicious turkey sloppy joes are a healthier version of the classic favorite. They are packed with so much flavor you won’t have any leftovers to put away. From start to finish they only take 30 minutes. This recipe is a great quick and easy dinner that can also be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.

Ground turkey is an excellent alternative to ground beef with fewer calories and plenty of flavor. Of course you could use any source of ground meat in this recipe as well. This recipe also sneaks in a few veggies. However if you do not have fresh onion and garlic on hand you can substitute them with a teaspoon each of onion powder and garlic powder. These turkey sloppy joes can be served on any kind of bun that you prefer. I like to serve them on my homemade potato buns.

The recipe can be doubled or tripled if you have an army to feed. These are so quick and easy to make. A perfect weeknight meal for busy moms. These sandwiches are packed with so much flavor you kids will be asking for them again next week.

This is also a great meal prep recipe. It keeps well in the fridge for a few days and can quickly be reheated.
